Regional SDVOB Business Summit 2010 Scheduled for Wednesday March 3rd.

The Elite Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Arizona Chapter “SDVOB-AZ” is proud to announce the “Regional SDVOB Business Summit 2010” to be held in Yuma, AZ on March 3rd. 2010.

This premiere event will be attended by participants from the private and public sector including local, state and federal government officials and representatives from private industry. This is an outstanding opportunity to obtain first-hand information on upcoming projects and networking. Key sponsors will be present and available to discuss business opportunities.

The beautiful new Hilton Pivot Point Conference Center on the riverfront in Yuma will host this year’s program. The location provides greater accessibility for attendance by contracting officers and dignitaries representing a multi-state area.The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, the Army Contracting Command, the various Air Force and Marine Air Bases,Veteran Administration, Municipalities, Tribal Councils, the Small Business Administration and the Government Services Administration will also be in attendance. Additionally,all 44 Chapters of the SDVOB Organization nationwide have been invited.

Companies who are interested in pursuing government work directly or by forming new strategic business relationships in pursuit of Federal contracts and procurement opportunities are encouraged to participate. All minority and other disadvantaged business enterprises are also welcomed to attend.

Roy Bautista, Chapter President, stated “This exciting one day event will feature prominent speakers from the private, public and Federal sectors. The purpose of our program is to connect, promote and identify the potential for Arizona SDVOB and VOB companies to obtain Federal contract opportunities that will be awarded to qualified companies here in Arizona. We have found that these programs are very helpful not only for our SDVOB and VOB enterprises but also for other companies in the greater business community. These highly targeted meetings also allow for businesses to meet and potentially partner to win new contracts. In today’s tough economic times, companies need every possible edge to survive. The teaming approach has become an accepted and successful answer to provide organizations that much needed competitive edge.”
 
The program is slated from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on March 3rd 2010. The agenda will include a formal opening ceremony complete with keynote address and other speakers including a tribute to the fallen men and women in service to our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the event. The program provides for several opportunities throughout the days’ activities for additional networking with contracting and procurement officers and other business enterprises. The Business Summit organizers have developed various levels of sponsorship opportunities for interested participants. Tradeshow/booth exhibit space is also being offered in the conference center.
